Evenings drawing closer and weather getting colder, sound familiar to you? It does to us, unfortunately we believe that’s what you call summer ending and the dreaded Autumn closing in. However, just because the sun is becoming a distant memory doesn’t mean those fun warm evenings, accompanied by your nearest and dearest with a glass of your favourite poison, has to be too.

Whenever we talk about our favourite parts of summer here at Rightcut Tree and Garden Services, everyone seems to be in agreement-the long evenings. You know, that small pocket of time during the day where the kids, regardless of age aren,t swarming round your feet and you can sit back and reflect on the day gone by. Or if you’re feeling even more adventurous, maybe even with a bottle of vino and a barbecue in tow. So what happens when that pocket of time suddenly shrinks? When the sun rolls in faster, the clouds get darker and you’re finding yourself wanting to sit on the sofa instead of your a garden chair? Fire pits, that’s what happens.

Fire pits are a great way to extend evening time in the garden without worrying about the lack of light or heat. Fire pits create the perfect centre piece whether entertaining guests or just yourself. Fire pits help transition between the sun going down and the darkness coming in, providing a great amount of light with the majestic movements of the roaring orange flames – an attraction for all ages. Staring into the fierce, smouldering, blaze for too long may confuse you into believing you’re in a hazy sandstorm in a boiling hot dessert, because a fire pit will not only brighten up the garden, it will provide an unexpected amount of heat for those surrounding it.  Fire pits provide such a huge amount of heat that they are well known to be used as a source of warmth for groups of people, and also a cooking aid.
